Assistant Director of Athletics for
Communications & Operations / Sports Information Director
Kevin White was hired as the full-time assistant director of athletics for
facilities and operations in June of 1997 after serving as an interim since
August of 1996 when Dave Miller resigned from the position.
In 2004, White took over as Director of Athletics Media Relations and is a
member of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
In addition to being Assistant Athletics Director, he has also served as the Co-Men's Golf Coach
White was a member of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer national
committee and chair of the Great Lakes Region for championship
selection. He has also been the tournament director for the
MIAA post-season basketball tournament at Municipal Auditorium in
Kansas City and was a member of the conference's tournament
committee through 2008.
He also assists on radio broadcast of Bulldog sports on KRES
104.7. White is a color-commentator for the Bulldog women's
basketball games and has handled play-by-play duties of basketball,
soccer and softball.
White is a 1996 graduate of Truman where he actively served the athletics
department for four years as a student assistant in the sports information
office. During his undergraduate years, White assisted with game management,
statistics and promotion of football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
He was also the sports director for the campus radio station, KNEU, and
earned a fifth-place finish for the 1996 baseball media guide from the College
Sports Information Directors of America.
White is a native of St. Louis and a graduate of Rosary High School,
now Trinity High School. He and his wife Robin have one son, Kyle.
