Sept. 3, 2008 - After finishing the Missouri S&T “Middle of Everywhere” Classic as the only undefeated team in the ten-team field, the No. 3 Truman Bulldog squad looks to continue its perfect start to the season this weekend at the UNK Fall Classic in Kearney, Nebraska. Senior Whitney Boehler averaged 4.75 digs/set at the Mo. S&T Classic en route to MIAA Player of Week Honors.
Aug. 30, 2008 – The No. 3 Truman Bulldogs completed a 4-0 weekend at the Missouri S&T “Middle of Everywhere” Classic with a 3-0 (-15, -21, -22) win against the host Lady Miners in the tournament’s final game. The Bulldogs finished the tournament as the only undefeated squad in the ten-team field.
Aug. 29, 2008 - The No. 3 Truman volleyball squad passed their first pair of tests in the 2008 season, as the squad swept Day One of the Missouri S&T "Middle of Everywhere" Classic by taking a 3-0 decision against No.6 Grand Valley (Mich.) State after winning a five-set thriller in the day's opener against Missouri-St. Louis. The Bulldogs (2-0) are back in action with matches tomorrow against North Alabama and Missouri S&T.

Aug. 26, 2008 - The 2008 edition of Truman volleyball will get underway this weekend, as the No. 3 Bulldogs will travel to Rolla, Mo., for the “Middle of Everywhere Classic” on the Missouri Science & Technology campus. The Bulldogs will face two regional opponents, a top-10 squad, and a perennial rival during the two-day tournament.

Aug. 19, 2008 – The Truman volleyball team was picked third in the CBS College Sports Network/AVCA Division II Top-25 Coaches Preseason Poll on Tuesday afternoon, marking the 72nd consecutive poll in which the Bulldogs have been in the top-10.

Aug. 5, 2008 – With six seniors on the roster, expectations are once again high for the 2008 Bulldog volleyball squad - and the rest of the MIAA agreed. For the fifth time in the past six seasons, Truman found the bulls-eye placed squarely on their backs as the Bulldogs got the nod to repeat as MIAA conference champion in 2008. Truman received five first-place votes and totaled 93 points in the poll.

May 8, 2008 – The Truman Athletics Department has released the fall schedules for three conference sports for the 2008 season. The Bulldog football team will kick off the 2008-09 home athletic season with a Thursday night game against Missouri S&T.

Nov. 17, 2007 – The top-seeded Truman Bulldog volleyball team was limited offensively all night, as the second-seeded Washburn Lady Blues upset Truman 3-1 (27-30, -27, -22, -24) in Saturday’s South Central Regional Championship. The Bulldogs hit only .145 on the night but set a new school-record with 23 total blocks – 14 coming from junior Allie Cherven.

Nov. 16, 2007 - The top-seeded Bulldog volleyball squad took down Emporia State for the third time in three weeks Friday night, as Truman advanced to the NCAA South Central regional final following a 3-1 (35-33, 27-30, -28, -26) victory in Pershing Arena. Junior middle hitter Allie Cherven and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Graybeal each had a team-high of 15 kills to pace the purple and white.

Nov. 15, 2007 - Freshman libero Casey Bruno was the catalyst behind a school record-setting 17-0 first-game run as the No. 4 Bulldog volleyball team kicked off the 2007 postseason with style, beating the 8th-seeded Albany (Ga.) State 3-0 (-6, -18, -14) Thursday night. Truman hit .519 (50-8-81) and finished with 15 service aces en route to a second-round match with 4th-seeded Emporia State.
Nov. 14, 2007 - Juniors Allie Cherven and Melissa Keck were selected to the Daktronics Volleyball South Central Region second-team on Wednesday, marking the 8th straight season that at least one Bulldog was named to a Daktronics team.

No. 6 Washburn and No. 18 Pittsburg State meet in one semifinal, while the host-No. 5 Bulldogs will play No. 15 Emporia State on the other side of the bracket.

Junior right side hitter Melissa Keck hit .500 and had a team-high 12 kills for Truman, who will advance to the Semifinals Friday night against No. 15 Emporia State.
Nov. 5, 2007 - Bulldog volleyball middle hitter Allie Cherven was named the MIAA Hitter of the Week Monday after hitting .473 (33 kills, 7 errors, 55 attempts) and averaging 4.10 points per game as the then-No. 7 Bulldogs ended the regular season last week with three wins -- two over ranked league foes.
