Sept. 4, 2008 - Off to an impressive start to the 2008 season, the Truman women's soccer team heads to Oklahoma for their biggest test of the young campaign this weekend, as the squad matches up with ninth-ranked Central Oklahoma on Friday before the squad wraps up the weekened with a match against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Aug. 31, 2008 - Junior forward Katie Reuck slipped in a goal early in the second half, junior keeper Denise Childress made seven saves, and the Bulldog defense stifled Midwestern State (Texas) in a 1-0 triumph at Warrensburg, Mo., on Sunday afternoon.
Aug. 29, 2008 – Women’s Soccer Coach Mike Cannon picked up coaching victory 200 as the Bulldogs defeated #25 Quincy on Friday afternoon by a 1-0 score. Jessica Wiegert had the lone goal in the second half.
August 27, 2008 – Both Truman soccer teams will take the pitch on the road this weekend, as the Bulldog men will face a pair of squads in Tahlequah, Okla., while the women look to get off to a great start in 2008 at the Central Missouri Classic.
Aug. 6, 2008 – Truman women’s soccer, coming off an NCAA Tournament season and an MIAA Championship in 2007, was picked third in the 2008 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll announced by the conference office Wednesday. The Bulldogs received 53 total points in the close race for the top spot, including two of the eight possible first-place votes.
May 8, 2008 – The Truman Athletics Department has released the fall schedules for three conference sports for the 2008 season. The Bulldog football team will kick off the 2008-09 home athletic season with a Thursday night game against Missouri S&T.
Dec. 18, 2007 – Senior Emily Newsham and junior Kim Wolff were selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America all-Central region team.
Nov. 20, 2007 – Truman’s Emily Newsham and Ben Green were selected to their respective Daktronics/CoSIDA all-region soccer second team.
Nov. 9, 2007 – The Truman women’s soccer team saw its season come to an end on Friday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer tournament. The Bulldogs were defeated by Nebraska-Omaha 3-0 in Winona, Minn.
Nov. 8, 2007 - The Bulldog soccer team returns to the NCAA tournament and will face the team that has stood in the way of a regional championships the past three times. Nebraska-Omaha and Truman will meet in Winona, Minn. in the first round of the NCAA Division II Soccer Championships at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Nov. 6, 2007 - Bulldog women's soccer players Theresa Bauler and Emily Roark were named the Brine/MIAA Women Soccer Players of the Week. Both played key roles in the Bulldogs winning the MIAA Postseason tournament and getting the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Nov. 5, 2007 – The Truman women’s soccer team will face Nebraska-Omaha in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championships on Friday in Winona, Minn. In addition, nine Bulldogs were selected to the MIAA all-conference soccer team.
Nov. 4, 2007 – Sophomore Isabel Gaeta’s fifth game winning goal of the season gave the Truman women’s soccer team the MIAA tournament championship and the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II tournament. Gaeta’s goal with 3:45 left gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 victory over Southwest Baptist.
Nov. 3, 2007 – The Truman women’s soccer team held Washburn to no shots on goal and made Theresa Bauler’s first half goal stand up as the Bulldogs advanced to the MIAA Women’s Soccer tournament finals with a 1-0 win. Truman will face #4 seed Southwest Baptist in the finals at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday for the automatic berth into the NCAA tournament.
Nov. 1, 2007 - The season could be on the line in Saturday’s semi-final match with Washburn in the first MIAA postseason women’s soccer tournament. The Bulldogs have dropped to sixth in the latest NCAA regional poll but a win over the Lady Blues and a tournament championship would send Truman into the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2004.
Oct. 30, 2007 – The Bulldog women’s soccer team dug an early hole that they could not get out of as they fell to Drury 2-1 in the regular season home finale on Tuesday. Truman will face Washburn on Saturday in the semi-finals of the MIAA women’s soccer tournament.
Oct. 27, 2007– An overtime goal by Central Missouri’s Hazel Cox gave the Jennies a 1-0 win over the Truman women’s soccer team on Saturday night. The loss means both schools’ tie for the regular season championship but Central will host the MIAA postseason tournament next weekend. Truman will play a non-conference game against Drury on Tuesday.
Oct. 26, 2007 – Brigitte Pohren’s first goal of the season was the game winner as the Truman women’s soccer team claimed a share of the MIAA regular season championship with a 2-1 win over Missouri Western on Friday night. The Bulldogs will attempt to win the title outright against Central Missouri at 7:00 p.m.
Oct. 25, 2007 - Thanks to a pair of strong wins last weekend and some slips by their closest competitor, the Truman women’s soccer team controls their own post-season destiny as they prepare for a pivotal clash with Central Missouri on Saturday. Before they face the Jennies, the Bulldogs head out for a game with Missouri Western on Friday night.
Oct. 22, 2007 – Sophomore Katie Reuck was named the Brine/MIAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the Bulldogs to two victories last week.
