Nov. 18, 2009 – Seniors Theresa Bauler and Drew Pauk, along with sophomore Jonathan Brown, were named all-region first-team and headlined seven Truman soccer selections to the Daktronics South Central teams, as announced late Tuesday. The Truman women tied St. Edward’s with the most selections on the top two teams (four), while the Truman men joined three Texas programs as the only schools with multiple first-team picks.
Nov. 15, 2009 – A goal early in the second half by the host West Texas A&M Lady Buffaloes stood up on a windy afternoon in northern Texas, as the Truman women’s soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon.
Nov. 13, 2009 – Senior Riley Mahn headed in a corner kick off the foot of fellow senior Kristin Haluszczak in the 68th minute while the Truman defense stood strong in a 1-0 Bulldog win against conference-rival Nebraska-Omaha in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon. Truman will now face West Texas A&M on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
Nov. 12, 2009 – The Truman women’s soccer team had seven players named MIAA all-conference, including a league-best five to the first-team. Katie Reuck, Kelsey Richters and Theresa Bauler were joined by Megan Buri and Olivia Hayes on the first-team, while Kelsey Twellman received second-team accolades and Jayne Grisham was named an honorable mention goalkeeper. Hayes was also named Freshman of the Year and Coach Mike Cannon garnered his eighth MIAA Coach of the Year award.
Nov. 10, 2009 - The 2009 NCAA Tournament kicks off this Friday for the Truman women’s soccer team, as the Bulldogs take the No. 4 seed in the South Central region to the Lone Star state for first- and second-round play. The Bulldogs will face 5th- seeded and conference-foe Nebraska-Omaha on Friday afternoon in Canyon, Texas, before potentially facing top-seeded West Texas A&M on Sunday.
