July 31, 2008 – Truman Wrestling Coach David Schutter was honored with the Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

June 12, 2008 – Truman wrestling coach David Schutter has announced that nine student-athletes will be joining next year’s squad.

Mar. 19, 2008 – The Truman wrestling team earned their second-straight and fourth overall NCAA Division II Team Academic Championship. The Bulldogs averaged a 3.394 GPA and had nine members selected to the all-Academic Wrestling Team.

Mar. 15, 2008 – Junior Blake Peterson not only became a two-time all-American but finished third at the Division II Wrestling Championships being held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Peterson won three bouts on Saturday to take third place in the 165-pound bracket.

Mar. 14, 2008 – Blake Peterson has advanced to the wrestleback quarterfinals at the Division II Wrestling championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Mar. 15, 2008 – Junior Blake Peterson not only became a two-time all-American but finished third at the Division II Wrestling Championships being held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Peterson won three bouts on Saturday to take third place in the 165-pound bracket.

Mar. 10, 2008 – There will be 23 Truman Student-Athletes participating in NCAA Division II Championship events this week. The Swimming & Diving Championships will be held in Columbia, Mo., the Indoor Track & Field Championships in Mankato, Minn. and the Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Mar. 1, 2008 – Rob Nahlik and Blake Peterson will represent the Bulldogs at the 2008 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships in a few weeks after each placing second at the Midwest Regional on Saturday.

Feb. 29, 2008 – The Bulldog wrestling team will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships by competing on Saturday at the Midwest Regional at the University of Indianapolis (Ind.).

Feb. 23, 2008 – The Truman wrestling team dropped a 39-10 dual match decision to #2 Minnesota State University on Saturday night in Mankato. The Bulldogs finished their regular season with a 4-8 dual match record and will next participate in the NCAA Midwest Regional on March 1 in Indianapolis.

Feb. 17, 2008 – The Bulldog wrestling team defeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Sunday afternoon by a 29-13 final. Truman will next be in action next Saturday against Minnesota State University Mankato.

Feb. 13, 2008 – John Horman’s 3-2 decision in the final match of the night lifted the Truman Wrestling team to a 26-25 victory in Pershing Arena on Wednesday night.

Feb. 10, 2008 – Rob Nahlik was the lone victor as the Truman wrestling team fell to Oklahoma City University 40-4 on Sunday afternoon in Pershing Arena. The Bulldogs will host Missouri Baptist on Wednesday night in their final home action of the season.

Feb. 9, 2008 - In its first true home meet of the season, the Bulldog wrestlers lost 39-6 to the #6 University of Central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon in Pershing Arena. Truman will host Oklahoma City University tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

Feb. 2, 2008 – The Bulldog wrestling team wrapped up regular season tournament action at the Wheaton College Pete Wilson Wrestling Invitational this weekend. Rob Nahlik and Dean Schutlz were the only squad members to place at the event.

Jan. 26, 2008 – The Truman wrestling team won one of three dual matches on Saturday in Warrensburg at the Central Missouri Duals. Andy Bader and Blake Peterson got their hands raised in all three of their matches.

Jan. 22, 2008 – Blake Peterson picked up the only victory as Truman Wrestling was defeated 36-4 by Missouri Valley on Tuesday night in Marshall. The Bulldogs will compete in several dual matches on Saturday as part of the Central Missouri Duals.

Jan. 18, 2008 – Rob Nahlik, Dan Keller, Andy Bader and Bryan Isbell placed for the Bulldog wrestling team and the Central Missouri Open on Saturday in Warrensburg. Truman will be back in dual meet action on Tuesday night as they travel to Missouri Valley College.

Jan. 12, 2008 – Several Bulldog wrestlers placed at the Central College Open in Pella, Iowa on Saturday. Rob Nahlik and Blake Peterson took home individual championships during the tournament. Truman’s home match against Millikin on Wednesday night has been cancelled.

Jan. 5, 2008 – The Bulldog wrestling team finished in eighth place at the Cornell College Matman Invitational this weekend in Iowa. Blake Peterson took home the Bulldogs’ highest finish with a second in the 165-pound weight class.
