May 30, 2008 – Head Coach Jack Schrader has announced that Brandon Griffin, Andrew James, Brian Nwelue and Jesse Schrader will join the Truman men’s basketball team for the 2008-09 season.
Mar. 3, 2008 – Senior Nick Certa was named to the honorable mention all-MIAA men’s basketballs squad. Certa led Truman in scoring at 14.6 ppg and was a second-team all-conference choice last season.
Mar. 1, 2008 – The Bulldog basketball team came up on the short end of a 67-62 result to Pittsburg State in the season finale on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburg, Kan. Senior Nick Certa closed out his career by scoring 25 points, one off his career best, in the effort.
Feb. 29, 2008 - Truman men’s basketball team heads to Pittsburg State for the season finale on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. It will be the final game in the collegiate career of Josias Flynn and Nick Certa.
Feb. 27, 2008 – Emporia State hit 10 three-pointers and erased an 11-point Truman lead to defeat the Bulldogs 84-72 in Pershing Arena on Wednesday night. Senior Nick Certa led the Bulldogs with 24 points and nine boards in his final home game.
Feb. 24, 2008 - The Bulldog basketball team will honor two seniors as they play the biggest game of the season at Pershing Arena. Truman will host Emporia State as they try to qualify for their third straight MIAA Postseason Tournament. Tip off is at 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 27, 2008 – The men’s basketball team battled back from a 20-point deficit but could not get over the hill in the final seconds as they fell to Fort Hays State 62-58 in Pershing Arena on Saturday. Banks Estridge led the Bulldogs with 15 points.
Feb. 21, 2008 - One down, three to go for the Bulldog men’s basketball team as they attempt a late season rally and get into the MIAA Postseason Tournament. The next test is Saturday against Fort Hays State at 3:00 p.m. in Pershing Arena.
Feb. 20, 2008 – The Truman men’s basketball team rallied from an early 14-point deficit to defeat Missouri Western 73-68 in St. Joseph on Wednesday night. Banks Estridge had 18 points for Truman including an 80-footer at the end of the first half that gave the ‘Dogs their first lead.
Feb. 19, 2008 - The Bulldogs face off with Missouri Western, who find themselves in the same situation as Truman, with their playoff lives as stake as the two teams meet in St. Joseph on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 16, 2008 – The Bulldog basketball team had an early five-point lead but had a tough stretch where they scored just eight points over the next 16 minutes and lost 61-54 to Washburn on Saturday afternoon in Pershing Arena.
Feb. 15, 2008 - The Men's Basketball team will host Washburn on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Pershing Arena. Truman needs wins as they are fighting for a playoff spot.
Feb. 13, 2008 - The Bulldog men's basketball team scored only 12 second-half points while Northwest Missouri finished with 11 total three-pointers to help the host Bearcats sweep the season series with Truman in a 61-49 final in Maryville on Wednesday night. Senior Nick Certa crossed the 1,000 point barrier for his career with a team-high 15 points for the 'Dogs.
Feb. 13, 2008 - The Truman men’s basketball team will be looking to pick up a must-needed road victory on Wednesday night as they face rival Northwest Missouri at 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 9, 2008 - The Bulldog men's basketball team couldn't pull off a season sweep of conference-leading Southwest Baptist Saturday, as the host Bearcats avenged a loss two weeks ago in Kirksville with a 76-66 win against Truman in Bolivar. Senior guard Nick Certa had team-best 15 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Bulldogs.
Feb. 8, 2008 - The Bulldog basketball team will be looking to repeat the dominating performance they turned in two weeks ago over #15 Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. Tip-off is at 3:30 p.m.
Feb. 6, 2008 – Central Missouri held on for a 65-64 overtime victory over the Truman Bulldogs on Wednesday night in Pershing Arena. Banks Estridge led the Bulldogs with 21 points.
Feb. 5, 2008 - Truman returns to Pershing Arena for the first time after two-straight road games to host Central Missouri in a key MIAA conference game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 2, 2008 – Missouri Southern used a 15-3 run to break a halftime tie and went on to defeat the Truman Bulldogs 77-61 in Joplin on Saturday afternoon. Alex Henderson led the Bulldogs with 13 points.
Feb. 1, 2008 - The Bulldog defense will once again be put to task as they head to Joplin on Saturday to face Missouri Southern in the start of the second half of MIAA play.
