(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Senior Loyde Braidlow and sophomore Alex Maus each surpassed the 20-win mark for the season on Sunday at the University of Central Missouri Jamboree, as the Bulldogs competed in four dual matches. As a squad, the Bulldogs went 0-4 on the day, taking on two top-15 teams in the process.
Braidlow picked up a 6-3 decision against Ben Hohensee of Nebraska-Kearney, a 3-1 decision against Northern State’s Jared Little and closed out the day with a 43-second pin of Chadron State’s RJ Boylan. Meanwhile, Maus pinned Northern State’s Beau Vogeli in 1:38 before wrapping up his day with a 7-3 decision against Chadron’s Jake Lords.
The Bulldogs were hampered all day by forfeiting the 184-pound bout in each match, giving up six points each time. Truman lost duals to No. 9 UN-Kearney, No. 15 Findlay (Ohio), Northern State and Chadron State.
Ryan Banning (133), Andy Bader (157) and Dean Schultz (174) garnered a single win apiece throughout the course of the afternoon.
Truman will travel to Wheaton, Ill., this weekend for the Wheaton College Invitational.
