Oct. 9, 2009 – The Bulldog swimming teams opened up their 2009-10 season on Friday night by hosting Division I,
“We’re pleased we swam so well this early in the season,” said Head Coach Mark Gole. “Both teams are extremely tired from all the hard work they have been doing.”
The Bulldog women picked up four B-Cut times in the dual with the Hawkeyes.
Julia Jones finished the 1000 freestyle in 10:47.37 and placed second in the event, while Anna Grinter also recorded a B-Cut in the 200 Fly with a first place time of 2:07.88.
Emily Buss (200 Breast) and Claire Myers (200 IM) were the other two B-Cuts achieved by the team on Friday night.
Tony Hernandez was the standout on the men’s side with a second place finish of 2:17.76 in the 200 Breast.
