Men’s Box Score ~ Women’s Box Score
Oct. 6, 2009 – The Truman Tennis teams swept regional rival Quincy on Tuesday afternoon at the Truman Tennis Courts. The men were 8-1 winners while the women won 6-3.
Kyle Schlotz and John Rothfusz picked up an 8-5 victory at number one doubles while Peter Bracha and Stephen Hipkiss added an 8-0 win to give Truman a 2-1 lead heading into singles matches.
All six singles matches went in favor of the Bulldogs as the only one that did not go straight sets was Hipkiss at number two.
The Bulldog men finish their fall season with a 3-0 record in dual matches.
On the women’s side, number two and three doubles matches were split by the teams but Amy Ochs and Ellen Russell gave Truman the 2-1 advantage with a 9-8 victory in the top doubles match.
Maggie Schutte, Russell, Kelsey Kuykendall and Dagmar Velez picked up singles victories with each winning in straight sets.
The Truman women finish the fall with a 3-0 dual record but will play in the Western Illinois tournament this weekend in Macomb.
