Sept. 27, 2009 – The Truman women’s tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional tournament over the weekend in Topeka, Kan. Ellen Russell came away with three consolation bracket victories.
All four Bulldogs that competed, Russell, Maggie Schutte, Amy Ochs and Kelsey Kuykendall, were eliminated in the first round of the 64-player tournament bracket and in the 32-team doubles bracket.
In consolation matches, Russell picked up there victories while Kuykendall added two. Schutte won her first consolation match before falling 8-4 in the second.
The Bulldogs will be at Westminster College in Fulton for a dual match on Tuesday.
