Sept. 22, 2009 – The Truman men’s golf team made up a little ground in the final round of the Northeastern State University (Okla.) tournament on Tuesday.  The Bulldogs finished in a tie for 10th and Chris Kovach tied for seventh overall.

Truman improved by 10 shots and had the ninth best team score of the round that was continued on Tuesday after play was halted Monday afternoon.  The tournament was shortened to 36-holes from 54 due to the weather.

The Bulldogs tied for 10th with a 632 with fellow MIAA school Pittsburg State.  Both of them were nine back of Missouri Western, 10 from Southwest Baptist and 11 from Washburn.

With rounds of 74 and 77, Kovach tied with four other players at +7 for seventh place.

The  Bulldogs will next play at the Fort Hays State conference tournament on Oct. 5&6.
