Sept. 15, 2009 – The Truman men’s tennis team opened up the dual portion of their fall schedule with an 8-1 victory over Missouri Baptist on Tuesday at the Truman Tennis Courts.
The Bulldogs swept through the three doubles matches to take a commanding lead as Kyle Schlotz and John Rothfusz along with Eric McCollough and Ben Rusk each won 8-0.
In singles play, Peter Bracha, Kyle Schlotz, Eric McCollough, Colin Boswell and David Sherwood were all straight set winners while Stephen Hipkiss lost in three sets.
The Bulldogs will host the men’s singles invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday. Matches will get underway at 4:00 p.m. and resume at 9:00 a.m. at the Truman Tennis Courts.
