Men’s Results ~ Women’s Results
Sept. 5, 2009 – Dani Dell’Orco and Joey Walls came across the line in first place in both the men’s and women’s races at the 2009 Miner Invitational. It was the season opening race for both Truman Cross Country teams and each came in first.
Dell’Orco led a pack of six Truman runners to the victory in the three team meet. Dell’Orco finished the 5K course in 18:20.3. Michelle Gronemeyer (18:41.6) was 19 seconds behind and was followed by Anne Raterman (18:52.3), Karen Grauel (19:27.3), Cindy Grauel (19:28.5) and Fiona Williams (19:51.3).
Walls paced the Truman men’s team as they took the first four places in the race against Missouri S&T. Walls completed the 5K race in 15:49.0 and beat out teammate Bob Gorman by nine seconds.
Adam Kell (16:00.0) and John Venner (16:07.0) came in third and fourth respectively. Mike Dial (7th - 16:18.0) and Chad Petrofsky (9th – 16:21.0) rounded out Truman’s top 10 finishes.
