July 2, 2009 – Bulldog women’s golfers Jessica Schepker and Julie Williams were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team.  To be eligible, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and compete is 66% of the team’s tournaments last season.

Schepker, a freshman from Columbia, Mo. (Jeff City Helias HS), averaged 87 with a low round of 82at the Illinois Weselyan Fall Classic.  She had one top five finish and two top 10s during her first season with the Bulldogs.  Schepker is a Business major.

Williams, a senior from Brookfield, Mo. (Brookfield HS), was second on the team in scoring at 82.8 and had two top five finishes and six top 10s during the 2008-09 season.  She shot her season low round of 75 at the Maryville Fall Invite.  Williams has been named to the all-America Scholar team each season as a member of the Bulldogs.  She graduated from Truman with her degree in Communications and also spent last year as the Editor-in-Chief of the Truman Index.
