McKendree Invite Results

Park Spring Invite Results

April 14, 2009 – The Truman women’s golf team continues to roll in the spring with two top-3 finishes over the weekend in a pair of tournaments.  The Bulldogs placed second in the rain-shortened McKendree Spring Invite on Saturday and followed up with a third at the Park University tournament on Tuesday.

Day one of the McKendree tournament was washed out due to weather so the tournament was just 18 holes.  Jennifer Lawson put together a round of 79 to finish in a tie for fifth as the Bulldogs shot 328 and finished two shots back of Rend Lake CC for the tournament championship.

Julie Williams and Krystal Limsiaco each finished in the top 10 with Williams firing an 80 to tie for seventh and Limsiaco one shot back to tie for 10th.

The team headed across the state to Kansas City for the Park University Spring Invite on Monday and Tuesday.  Truman finished with rounds of 340 and 342 to finish in third position behind Western Illinois University and William Woods.

Limsiaco had a four-shot improvement in the second round and shot 79 to tie for fifth overall.  Lawson went 82-87 and placed 13th.

The Bulldogs will finish up the spring regular season with the inaugural MIAA Championship tournament at Shoal Creek Country Club in Liberty, Mo.  Truman will join Missouri Western, Northwest Missouri and Nebraska-Omaha in the first title event sponsored by the conference.  They will play their 36-hole tournament next Monday and Tuesday.
