April 4, 2009 – The Bulldog Track & Field team broke two meet records and set a provisional mark as they competed in the Northwest Missouri Invite in
Kelly crossed the line first in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:58.78 to break the seven-year old meet record and her own school record of 11:00.43.
Dochterman was first in the 400 meter hurdles also breaking a seven-year mark with a time of 1:01.07. Stephanie Grauel was fourth in the same event.
Biermann cleared 12-00.50 in the pole vault to earn an NCAA Division II Provisional mark and take top honors. The mark also matches her school record in that event set back in May of 2008.
Fiona Williams (800) and Kortney Holeman (Discus) were the other event winners for Truman, who amassed 182 points to finish second behind the host Bearcats.
The Bulldog men had three event winners en route to also placing second behind Northwest.
Adam Kell won the 1500 in a time of 4:05.14, Jacob Schrum won the 800 in 1:58.35 and Tad Dallas took the 10,000 meter run in 35:15.00.
Alex Van Delft won the silver in both the men’s hammer throw and shot put events.
The Bulldogs will compete at the Jim Duncan Invitational on Friday and Saturday of next week in
