KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – After being saddled with just their second loss of the season late Friday night, the Truman women’s tennis bounced back with a fury first thing Saturday, as the Bulldogs dispatched MIAA-foe Fort Hays State, 9-0, at the Truman Tennis Courts.

Truman (12-2, 4-1 MIAA) racked up three quick doubles wins before picking up straight-set wins at all singles positions. Senior Lindsy Blair dropped only one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 romp at No. 1 singles, and no Bulldog surrendered more than four games in a single set to a Hays (5-9, 1-5 MIAA) player.

With Sunday’s scheduled match Missouri-St. Louis cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather, Blair wrapped up her week with a 3-0 singles mark and a 2-1 record with doubles partner Courtney Walther.

The final three regular season home matches of the 2009 season await the ’Dogs next week, as a trio of MIAA opponents – Missouri Western (Wed; 4 pm), Northwest Missouri (Fri; 4 pm) and Nebraska-Omaha (Sat; 10 am) – are set to visit Kirksville.
