Meet Results

 

March 14, 2009 – Shaina Dochterman placed sixth and Ashley Bernard finished 12th at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Houston, Texas.

 

Dochterman, who qualified eighth in the 400 meter dash, came across the line in a season-best time of 56.88 to claim sixth overall.  Her previous best was at the MIAA Indoor championships with a time of 57.45.

 

Bernard took home 12th in the shot put on Saturday.  Bernard’s best throw was her last as she recorded a mark of 43-11.75.

 

Earlier in the meet, Katrina Biermann tied for eighth in the pole vault with a vault of

11-09.75.


Day One Recap


March 13, 2009 – Katrina Biermann tied for eighth in the pole vault and Shaina Dochterman qualified for the finals of the 400 meter dash at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Houston, Texas on Friday.

 

Biermann vaulted 11-09.75 in her first national indoor championships to tie with four other competitors for eighth place.  Katelin Rains of Minnesota State-Mankato won the event with a vault of 13-09.25. 

 

In the prelims of the women’s 400, Dochterman finished second in her heat to qualify for the finals on Saturday.  Dochterman ran in 57.45 and will be seeded eighth when the finals take place at 3:50 p.m.

 

Ashley Bernard, the third Bulldog on the national squad, will compete in the shot put on Saturday as well.
