Feb. 7, 2009 – Loyde Braidlow finished fourth at the Missouri V alley College Open in Marshall on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs will take on #6 Central Oklahoma in a dual meet on Feb. 14th in Edmond, Okla.
Braidlow was seeded sixth in the 285-pound weight class and won his first two matches, the first by fall and the second by a 6-3 decision.
In the quarterfinals, Braidlow was defeated 2-1 by #3 Travis Ewart (Mo. Valley) and sent to the wrestlebacks. He defeated Byron Stewart 2-1 and Mark Stokgrand (Mo. Valley) 8-0 before dropping a 5-2 decision to Ewart in the third place match.
Braidlow was the only Bulldog to place at the tournament for the Bulldogs.
