Jan. 14, 2009 – Junior Kate Aherne won her second National Division II Swimmer of the week award after her performance at the Bulldogs meets at Lewis University last weekend. Aherne had four wins and picked up an A cut time in the 400 IM.
Aherne won the 400 IM in a time of 4:31.61 to earn her fifth A-cut time of the season. She also earned a B-cut time in the 200 free touching the way in 1:54.51. Her other victories were in the 200 back and 100 fly.
Aherne was also on the winning 400 freestyle relay squad and the second place 200 free relay team.
