Nov. 1, 2008 – Bryan Isbell, Andy Bader and Loyde Braidlow all placed for the Bulldog wrestling team at the season opening Lindenwood Open on Saturday in
Isbell won by default against top-seeded Chris Jones in the first round and then scored a tech fall victory in his second match.
Isbell won 9-3 in the semi-finals before being defeated by #3 Donald Woods (
Bader, wrestling unattached in the same weight class, won his first match before falling to Woods 8-6 but advanced to the fifth place match in the wrestlebacks.
Bader won via forfeit over # John Murray (Lindenwood).
Braidlow, wrestling in the 285-pound weight class, won three tight matches before loosing by fall in the semi-finals. Braidlow won his first match in overtime, his second 3-2 and third 6-4.
In the consolation round, Braidlow lost 2-0 and then again in overtime in the fifth place match.
