Oct. 11, 2008 – Danna Kelly finished third and Bob Gorman took 14th as the Bulldog Cross Country teams competed at the Border States Invitational in Edwardsville, Ill on Saturday. The women placed third, while the men were fourth in the 16 team field.
The Bulldog women finished third, behind a pair of MIAA schools, at the meet. Truman scored 113 points and trailed only
Kelly crossed the line in 18:30.24 for her third place finish. Michelle Gronemeyer was 11th overall and second for the Bulldogs with a time of 18:57.17.
Other members scoring points for Truman were Anne Ratermann (18th/19:26.53), Kylie Raithel (41st/20:05.48) and Amanda Brown (45th/20:10.89).
The men finished fourth also behind two other conference schools in the race. Truman scored 116 points with finishes of 12th, 17th, 24th, 25th and 38th.
Bob Gorman was the top finishes for the ‘Dogs with a time of 26:52.37. He was followed into the chute by Joey Walls in 26:57.95.
Both teams will take two weeks to prepare for the MIAA Cross Country championships on Oct. 25th in
