Sept. 27, 2008 – Danna Kelly and Josh Mantooth led their respective teams at the Brissman/Lundeen Cross Country Invitational in Rock Island, Ill. on Saturday.  The Bulldog women finished second while the men placed fourth.

 

The women were the only school that had two runners in the top 10 in Kelly and Michelle Gronemeyer.  Kelly finished fourth overall in a time of 22:27.7, while Gronemeyer crossed ninth in 23:05.6.

 

Anne Raterman (26), Dani Dell’Orco (33), Amanda Brown (41), Fiona Williams (53), and Kylie Raithel (54) all scored points for the Bulldogs.  The team finished with 112 points while Washington Univ. (Mo.) won the team event with 93 points.

 

On the men’s side, Mantooth finished nearly one second ahead of teammate Joey Walls for 11th overall in a time of 25:57.9.  Walls was 13th crossing at 25:59.0.  The Bulldogs placed fourth out of 28 schools with 120 points.

 

Other scores for Truman were Zach Chapman (28), Adam Kell (31), Bob Gorman (37), Mike Dial (46) and Brandon Gutteridge (52).

 

Truman will next compete at the Border Stats Invitational held in Edwardsville, Ill. on Oct. 10th
