Sept. 13, 2008 – The Truman cross country teams each took home fifth place finishes at the Les Duke Invitational held in
Kelly crossed the line at 22:56 and was just eight seconds behind the third place runner and :42 seconds behind the race winner, Marie Borner from
Michelle Gronemeyer finished second behind Kelly and 11th overall with a time of 23:28. Amanda Brown was third on the Bulldogs with an overall finish of 36th and in a time of 24:32. Truman scored 193 total points in the meet.
All six Bulldog men runners finished within 1:30 of each other as Gorman led the pack with a 15th place finish and in a time of 27:07. Joey Walls was just three seconds back of Gorman and crossed in 19th position.
The teams will compete in two weeks (Sept. 27) at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in
