Men’s Results ~ Women’s Results

 

Sept. 6, 2008 – The Truman women’s cross country team took first place while the men finished second at the Miner Invitational in Rolla on Saturday.  Danna Kelly and Michelle Gronemeyer finished first and second in the women’s race.

 

The Bulldog women had six runners in the top 11 with Kelly finishing the course in 19:26.8, four seconds ahead of Gronemeyer.

 

Amanda Brown (20:55.5) was seventh, Fiona Williams (20:56.0) eighth and Kylie Raithel (20:57.0) ninth.  Dani Dell’Orco rounded out the top 11 in a time of 21:02.0.

 

The Bulldogs finished with 27 points while Lindenwood was second with 68 points.

 

Bob Gorman and Josh Mantooth finished in the top 10 on the men’s side to lead the team to their second place finish behind Drury.  Gorman crossed the line in sixth place in a time of 19:04.1 while Mantooth was eighth at 19:06.7.

 

Joey Walls (19:13.0) finished 12th and Zach Chapman (19:17.6) was right behind in 13th place.   Adam Kell (19:24.4) rounded out the scoring Bulldogs in 15th place.

 

Both teams will next be in action at the Les Duke Invitational next Saturday in Grinnell, Iowa.
