Sept. 3, 2008 – Michael Spaulding of the Truman men’s golf team finished tied for first after 36-holes in the rain shortened Missouri Intercollegiate held at The Club of Porto Cima in
Spaulding was the club house leader following a first round score of 4-under par 68. He started his day with three straight birdies and finished with six in the first round. During his second loop, Spaulding had a double and triple bogey but managed three more birdies to close the round with an even par 72.

Truman was third after the first round with a team score of 303 and improved to a 301 following round two. Scott Danielsen had a pair of 76s, while freshman Nik Bentzinger fired rounds of 79-76. Chris Kovach managed scores of 80-77 and Andy Herington finished with an 83-79.
The third round was washed out by heavy rain with the Bulldogs trailing conference rival
